Access to health care is a huge issue for women. I saw a woman yesterday who had not been able to see a provider for a few years because of lack of insurance and funds, despite the fact she has some serious issues that need attention. While the following options are not available to everyone, the article brings up interesting points.

While I don’t personally know women who have gone to Thialand for medical treatment, I do know women (and men) who have gone to Mexico for treatment and/or medicaitons. The question I ask you is, would you go away (assuming you had the means) for treatment? What kind of treatment? And where would you consider going?

Here’s the article:

Women Flock to Thai Hospitable for Affordable Care
With 46 million U.S. citizens living without health insurance–and millions of others underinsured or unable to get adequate care–a growing number of U.S. women are flocking to a Thai hospital for treatments they can’t afford at home.
